About this service
Berthed and, above all, at anchor, a ship is exposed to unauthorized small craft — launches, boats and canoes that come alongside to attempt theft, gain improper access on board or attach packages to the hull. We carry out the onboard watch that observes, logs and stops such approaches.
Our maritime watchmen cover continuous shifts, including night hours, with deck rounds, observation of the ship's side, anchor chains and mooring lines, access control at the gangway and, when contracted, perimeter rounds by support craft. Every incident is logged and immediately reported to the duty officer.
Clean Ship answers for the operation: we define the watch plan with the master and the ship security officer, size the team to the vessel and the length of stay, and issue the shift report handed to the client at every handover — the document that underpins communication with the Port Authority, the Navy, the Federal Police and Customs.
